Kid Talk

Brooklyn, age 2
Brooklyn said her very first completely understood sentence yesterday, she said, "Mason hit me!" We couldn't be more proud!!! We we so excited about what she said, we didn't even punish Mason for it. Oh well, nobody's perfect!
Elena, age 8
When Elena and I were in Portland, we were looking through some old pictures of mine and one of them was of me with an old boyfriend. Elena became very concerned and asked, "Mom, do you like him better than you like Dad?" I thought that was pretty funny.
Mason, age 4
Mason will ask me(Scott, Darcy told me to insert my name here) something, but half the time I'm not listening so I'll ask him to repeat it. He'll answer back and say "you knooow." I was never good at reading minds, but Mason must think I have that talent!
Mason, age 4
Today Mason said he wants to go back to his friend Caleb's house, so he can have those "you know, those umm indilated small Froot Loops."
If anyone knows what the heck the word "indilated" means, please feel free to share it with us.
Mason, age 4
I know these quotes are all from him, but he's just so stinking funny! Yesterday Mason and I were sitting at the table and he was playing with my lovely flabby part of the skin under my tricep and I asked him what he was doing, and he said, "I'm holding onto your fatty parts!!!" Isn't he sweet?!?
Brooklyn, 2
Before family prayer the other night, I asked Brooklyn if she can show me how to be reverent and she folded her arms and said, "I will follow Jesus!!" Sooooo cute.
Mason, age 5
The other day when Brooklyn seemed to be crying and throwing tantrums all day Mason asked if we could "sell her?" I thought that was pretty funny. What was even funnier was the excitement in his voice when he asked.

The other day as I was doing Mason's hair, he looked up at me with very concerned eyes, and said, "Mom why do you always do a mohawk, why don't you do two horns instead!" I laughed so hard, especially since he's the one who always wants the mohawk...at the age of 5, he really knows what he wants. I can't wait to see what he comes up with as a teenager!
